About 45 minutes South of Tucson are the Santa Rita Mountains, which includes the campgrounds and picnic areas of Madera Canyon. This part of Coronado National Forest has a lot of greenery, tree cover, and little swimming holes, and can be a great escape from the heat of the desert.
Honey and Daniel went here on one of their first dates, and it remains one of their favorite places. So of course they chose it for their Tucson engagement session as well!

I get why some photographers would prefer to do all consecutive coverage. But personally, I love mixing things up and doing multiple times of day with the same couple. I don’t mind leaving home more than once in a day, especially if it’s to go to different places with different lighting and get to make the absolute most of what beautiful Tucson has to offer.

They were hoping to do their Grand Canyon engagement session in a couple different spots. So I suggested that, to maximize golden hour light, we do a sunset AND a sunrise session! Each at different spots that are respectively perfect for those times of day.
