2025 Recap | Arizona Elopement Photographer

Hello, friends! It’s been a minute!

I’ve spent so much time in the last couple years just working with clients on their Arizona elopements, sessions, and proposals, and editing photos, I haven’t even thought about blogging. Whoops.

But I’m back!

Here are some work/life updates from the last year:

I had my best business year ever, numbers-wise! Pretty exciting. And honestly a big surprise, considering the economy and general state of things. But I’m not complaining! I’m so glad I could help so many couples have unforgettable moments in 2025!
I traveled a lot for both work and play. Between June and October, I don’t think I was at home for more than 2 consecutive weeks. It was exhausting, but totally worth it. :) I took an amazing trip to Portland and Seattle to visit my brother and some friends. I had multiple lovely trips to Chicago / the Midwest, as always. And several fantastic weekends in Southern California.
One of those weekends was to be in my friends’ wedding party! I got to be on the other side of a wedding for once. It was an absolute blast and I was so honored to be a part of it.
I had work in Chicago, Wisconsin, and all over Arizona. Including some wonderful Grand Canyon proposals and a Greer wedding up in the White Mountains. But most of my work was at home in good old Tucson! So many wonderful Tucson elopements, sessions, and proposals. Which I’m absolutely thrilled about. I love when I get to stay at home, but more importantly, I LOVE that so many people appreciate Tucson as the gorgeous destination that it is! I love traveling for work, but it seems I’m starting to specialize as a Tucson elopement photographer, and I’m here for it.
I have continued to make reading my entire personality. I read 133 books in 2025, which feels insane, but I’m happy about it! However, my goal in 2026 is to chill out a bit and hopefully make more room in my life for my other beloved hobbies, like playing my instruments and hiking. :) But reading is still the main one! I got a cat in 2024 - a sweet silly boy I named Fitz (after the main character of The Realm of the Elderlings by Robin Hobb). He’s still doing great. :) He traveled with me to Chicago for my summer trip this year, and it thankfully went very well!
Speaking of which, I’m sorry I didn’t make a post like this for 2024! I honestly can’t promise that I’ll get around to it either. But I’ll definitely be blogging some of my work from 2024, so keep an eye out!
