Rhea & Patrick

These two cuties reached out to me in April, hoping to have an elopement in the Southwest in July. Due to the weather out here at that time of year, our options were limited - based on multiple factors, I helped them decide on having a Bryce Canyon National Park elopement!

Bryce Canyon is an incredible park that shows off Southern Utah’s red rocks in the form of breathtaking stone formations called hoodoos. Despite being a national park and one of Utah’s “Mighty 5,” it is so small and underrated, it almost feels like a hidden gem. It is also at a pretty high elevation, making it quite comfortable in July with temps in the 80s (unlike Tucson’s 100s).

Rhea and Patrick had complete faith in me to help them plan their Utah elopement day, and I appreciate that so much. I corresponded with the permit office to get them their wedding permit, helped them find local vendors, suggested places to stay, contributed some supplies for their activities, and even officiated their elopement ceremony (yes, that is a service I am happy to provide!! :D).

We started with a lovely, quick elopement ceremony overlooking Bryce Canyon’s Main Amphitheater (in adherence with the park’s wedding policies), then we headed out on the Queen’s Garden Trail to get amongst the hoodoos. Once we got down to the “garden,” they popped some champagne and shared some charcuterie. Once we got back to the park, it was dark, and we took some star photos. Bryce is very remote and therefore has incredible stars, as you can see.

It was such a fantastic, beautiful day, they are such a wonderful couple, and I’m so happy I got to be a part of their epic Utah elopement!
